Psalm 34:18

'The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.'

'For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparisons, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen.'

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

'Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.'

Romans 12:12

'He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.'

Revelation 21:4

'Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by GOd's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief on all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.'

1 Peter 1:3-9

'Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.'

James 1: 2-4

Our faith in Christ was what allowed my husband, our families and myself to get through this difficult time in our lives. I have included several verses, songs and links to messages that were extremely comforting and enraging to me in this time. I hope that if you are going through a difficult season or loss in your life, I hope these words bring you comfort as well

Hymns and Songs

When peace like a river attendeth my way. When sorrows like sea billows roll. What ever my lot, you have taught me to say, 'It is well with my soul.'

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning, it's time to sing your song again. Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes.

Now your burden's lifted, and carried far away. And precious blood has washed away the stain, so sing to Jesus, sing to Jesus, sing to Jesus and live!

Through many dangers toils and snares, I have already come. Was Grace that led me safe thus far, and Grace will lead me home. The Lord has promised good to me. His word my hope secures. He will my shield and portion be, as long as life endures.

Then sings my soul, my savior God, to thee how great thou art, how great thou art. Then sings my soul, my savior God, to thee, how great thou art, how great thou art! When Christ shall come, with so shout of acclimation and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart. Then I shall bow, in humble adoration and then proclaim, my god, how great thou art!
